Click ... Sound ... Monster ... Phunk ... Nagga???

I opened up a band-page at Soundclick. This one's called Industrial Phunkmonster Andrew, and it will contain my industrial songs. I will eventually open up another band for my "regular" productions. I will gradually move my songs from my webspace to Soundclick. I started with a song called "The Ocean Strikes Back", which is currently my best song IMO.

Added links to White Clouds and The ZBuffer to the list of links on the right.

Birthday

Yo Yo Kidz, it's my birthday.
Well, it's not *that* important, just for the logs ;).

The most remarkable present is a pair of monitor-speakers, which hopefully will help me to achieve a better mastering for my music productions.

Ok, now back to everydays life. I have a 50 minute car-ride to university ahead, and I just noticed that it began to snow again, which will most likely increase this time by some factor. Hopefully, this factor is not an integer ;).

FSNG uses ZBuffer and vice-versa ;)

FSNG has recently been covered at The ZBuffer.
This makes me really proud a little bit, as I found out about it in my everyday's newsfeed-reader.

So, it's an enormous motivation for me to continue to work on the project. I admit, that I did not really actively develop FSNG in the last few weeks, mainly for two reasons:
  1. Visual Studio 2005 Express Edition is currently incompatible with the latest MDX (Managed DirectX). I have to wait until December, when the new MDX will be released.
  2. My studies take a lot of time.

But I am really optimistic, that I can achive some progress on the project in the term break (early 2006).

I stated, that a demo of FSNG is unlikely to be released. However, presently I could imagine very well to release some kind of BETA when the project is a little more stable/finished. This is, because I discovered, that regions of the earth, which are not covered with elevation data, are automatically displayed as water. So I could ship a small portion of the world, and the rest would be water. So maybe there will be some surprises for you a few weeks ahead.
